Brethren
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! We are so blessed and live in such comfort… I hope we never forget to be appreciative of everything we have.
- Last Saturday we had an EQ Turkey Shoot. We had a great turnout and lots of fun! The most important thing is no one got shot!!! I want to give a big thanks to Kevin McCarrel for organizing it and Kreat Lewis and James Cox for taking charge of the shooting. They did a magnificent job! We ended up having a shotgun shooting contest and a pistol shooting contest. Winners were…
Pistol – Jason Bell
Shotgun – Alan Salter
So if you meet either on in a dark alley… That would be weird!
- Sunday Bro Larsen led us in a discussion about being able to do hard things. I really liked the participation from everyone. I think everyone benefits from others perspective. We all have challenges and trials in our lives and we think things should go a certain way. The challenge is how do we react when things don’t go the way we want or when we have to sacrifice what we want for someone else. I know if we turn to the lord in times of trial as well as in times of peace we can accomplish the things he needs of us as well as bless the lives of those around us.
- This Sunday Bro McCoy will use the talk titled “ Taking upon Ourselves the Name of Jesus Christ” By Elder Robert C Gay https://www.lds.org/general-
conference/2018/10/taking- upon-ourselves-the-name-of- jesus-christ?lang=eng Please read and come prepared to share your thoughts.
