Elder Steven Wright
Washington Everett Mission
- By Kari Grove (Steven's Mother)
Steven has always been a more reserved child. He loves to help others and provide service where he can, since he has great compassion for those around him. Steven enjoys learning new things, building and constructing objects. He has worked at Kannah Creek Construction, building ski lift sheds; Western Colorado Conservation Corp, building fences in the National Forest; Creative Tile Solutions where they re-tiled a few Wendy's and other projects. Steven has a love for nature and it's wild life, he enjoys sharing stories about his upbringing with those two things. Working for the Conservation Corp allowed him to grow that love for nature and wild life. He has a passion for art and took digital design courses at CMU and WCCC. Since he was a small child he has had a bond with video games, between the gaming and the art, it only makes sense that game design is where he wants his future to go.
Steven is looking forward to serving the Lord and his people. He has wanted to go on a Mission for many years, it was a decision he made on his own. Steven is looking forward to his Mission Call to the Washington Everett Mission.

Kari Grove (Steven's Mother)
I wanted to share a little about myself. Most of you see me in the back corner. That's where I feel most comfortable. Many of you know I was in the military and did a year in Afghanistan for OEF. Since then I have some struggles. I had applied for a service dog over a 18 months ago with my care providers help.
I received a call literally on the way home from dropping Steven off at the MTC, saying they had a dog for me. I scrolled the organization's fb page to see if I could find a photo. What I found was her photo that i had
3 months earlier. When I saw the photo the Lord let me know Matcha was my companion.
Matcha is a 3 year old, German Shepherd mix and is very sweet. She is certified through the ADI. Which is great, as the VA recognizes them, and acknowledges her as my medical device. I was blessed to be sponsored by The Dixie Foundation. I've had Matcha on my own since the middle of August. So we are still learning as a team. So if you see us together this is why. In the photo is Matcha, her trainer Anne and myself.
