President Stagg's Challenge:
Just a reminder about President Stagg's challenge to read the Book of Mormon and highlight the passages that pertain to ministering. The Stake handed out copies of the Book of Mormon on Sunday right after Sacrament Meeting and I believe they will be doing the same this week. Please take advantage of this challenge. I truly believe it will be for our benefit. As part of this we have included a Scripture Club to help us stay on track. Visit http://bookcliffeq.blogspot. com/ and participate in the challenge.

| Bookcliff Ward members helping with linen folding project for Special Olympics. |
I want to let everyone know we had a service opportunity on Monday to help sort linens and towels used for the Special Olympics. This was organized by Sister DeFord and was a great success. Thank you to those who were able to help with this. On that note I met with Matt Darling at Cross Orchards Historic Site. They will have some service opportunities coming up for us in the near future. I will keep you posted. This site is maintained by volunteers and they are always looking for help so if you have some time and want to help out let me know and I can connect you with the right people. This is also a cool place to take your families just to visit. They have stuff for kids as well as a Farmers Market on Saturdays. Here is a link to the site: https://museumofwesternco.com/ cross-orchards/
Also consider Facebook friending Grand Valley JustServe, a site maintained by Sister DeFord that provides great information on service.
Ministering:
Please take the time to touch base with your ministering families. Use the website for Ministering Occasions and let us know how they are doing. Please post any acts of kindness or service that you may have been a part of or if want to show appreciation to someone else. This information is really helpful for myself or the Bishop. Remember he and I are the only ones who see this and you can remain anonymous if you choose.
We have made a few changes to some of the companionships and assignments so please check out your assignment on LDS Tools or LDS.org. You will need to sync your LDS Tools app on your phone to see the new changes. Reach out to me with any questions or concerns. Remember the goal here is to get to know your families and find ways to help and serve them. How you do that is up to you.
