Another week has come and gone. Seems like time is just flying by. We don’t have a lot going on right now but here are a few things…

It has been brought to my attention there may be some people who want to come to Elders Quorum on Sunday but feel like there are not enough chairs in the High Council Room. I want to assure you the members of the presidency are making sure there are plenty of chairs for those who want to attend. We love you and want you to be there. Please come in and join us. We have great discussions each week and need input from all members of the quorum. You are also welcome to come and just listen. Either way please don’t feel like there isn’t room for you. If you have any questions or concerns let me know and I will address them.

Last week Bro Larsen led a discussion on taking advantage of the time we have here on earth and making the most out of each and every day. He taught us that no matter our situation we can find ways to follow Christ and strengthen our relationship with him. Please take this advice to heart and live each day with hope and optimism. Our time here is unknown and it does us or no one else any good to lament the things that we feel are wrong. Love your families, friends, and neighbors. Live each day like it’s a gift from God and you don’t want to waste it. Enjoy this beautiful world that was created for us. Be kind to those you come in contact with and when you pass on you can be proud of the life you lived.

This Sunday August 26th – Bro McCoy will lead a discussion on ministering. I know this is getting talked about a lot but that must mean it’s really important. Please come and share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences about ministering.

There is an opportunity for service this Saturday at Cross Orchards picking apples. If you and/or your family is interested in helping out let me know and I’ll get you in contact with the guy in charge over there. They also have a farmers market at the same time so you could do both. Might be a great way to spend a few hours!

We have and Endowment assignment at the temple on Saturday September 22nd. Please let Brother Hawks know if you can attend. This is always a great way to spend part of a Saturday!

We don’t have anything else nailed down right now but we are working on a few activities in the near future… EQ Golf Tournament, Bike Ride, Turkey Shoot and Temple Trip. As always we will provide service to the ward and community.

Thanks and have a great week!

Sam Taylor
EQ President
