I hope you had a great week! I thought General Conference was especially good but maybe that’s because there were things I felt were just for me.
One of the things I have struggled with my whole life is the feeling that people aren’t committed enough or that they don’t “practice what they preach” so to speak. I’ve felt like there has been a lot of hypocrisy in the church members who profess to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ. I’m not saying I am above this by any means but I still wasn’t able to shake these feelings. I prayed a lot leading up to this conference about this issue and my prayers were answered. There were several talks that I felt spoke to me and gave me help on coping with and overcoming these feelings. The one that really touched me was given by Robert C. Gay on Sunday afternoon titled “Taking Upon Ourselves the Name of Jesus Christ”https://www.lds.org/general-
In this talk he give great council on seeing others the way our Heavenly Father sees them. This really struck home to me. Instead of worrying about all the things they are not doing I need to focus on the things they are doing. Love them for the good they do. It doesn’t matter if they’re not doing it how I think they should or how I believe god wants it. God loves all of us with all our imperfections. He truly sees us as we can be and he understands the potential we have as his sons and daughters. We can learn to love the way he does and see others the way he does. I truly believe that.

Sunday Oct 14th – Bro McCoy will teach us on the topic of Being Accountable to God. Please take some time to study this utilizing the most recent conference talks as well as the scriptures and come prepared to share on Sunday.
Saturday Oct 27th – Service project at Cross Orchards. Still need some help with this. Please let a member of the EQ Presidency or Bro McCarrel know if you can help.

Saturday Nov 3rd – Youth temple trip for those of you with kids that age.
Sunday Nov 4th – Stake Conference – televised from Salt Lake City
Saturday and Sunday Nov 10-11 – Stake Conference – Local Stake Leaders
Saturday Nov 17th - Turkey Shoot
