Looks like we made it through another week. 😊
Last Sunday we had a discussion on what it means to sustain someone and how we can support them. I appreciate all the input from everyone. It’s great to have your participation in quorum meetings. I think we can agree this is Jesus’s church and it is led by him. When someone receives a calling they do it to the best of their ability but it doesn’t mean there won’t be mistakes. The difference is Christ! He can make up for our mistakes and will build us up if we just try.
This week Bro McCoy will use Elder Renlund’s talk “Choose You This Day”

We have a Christmas party on Saturday morning at 9am. Everyone is invited. Also there is a service opportunity Saturday afternoon from 1-3pm. Please talk to sister Horner if you are interested in helping with the service project. They will be doing some things at the home for abused youth. Below is the email from Sister Horner.
Hey all!
If you are reading this email, and this project fits into your Saturday, we could use your help.
Who: Everyone of all ages is welcome to participate in this project! (We did a small project for The House last weekend, and everyone had a job, even my 4 year-old.) Project to benefit The House, (a homeless shelter for teens.) Invite your family and friends!
What: We will be helping with yard work, winterization, organization, dump/donation runs at four of their facilities. (Indoor and Outdoor projects available)
When: Be at the Stake Center by 12:45 pm, Project : 1-3pm Saturday, December 8
Where: Meet at Stake Center, and groups will be sent out to the various facilities.
Why: To Light the World!
What you need to bring; Grubby clothes, rakes, gloves, other yard tools, We could use 1-2 leaf blowers, and 1-2 pickup trucks or trailers to haul stuff.
If you are able to participate, please let us know. We need 25-30 volunteers to make the biggest impact. You can let us know that you will be participating by replying to this email, replying to the facebook post of the Sisters in Zion Facebook group, calling or me, Rachelle Horner, at 801-857-7425 or signing up on the JustServe link below:
If your Saturday is full, but you would still like to find a way to participate, they could also use donations of food. These donations could include non perishable pantry items, or items that need to be refrigerated/frozen.
