July 22 - Stake Priesthood Meeting at 7pm.
|
Brethren
Another week has come and gone. I hope all is well for you. I don’t have a lot of time this week so here are a few updates…
Sunday July 22nd – We will have a lesson taught by Dillon Johnson on Ministering and how it coordinates with our Ward Missionary Program. I am really looking forward to this lesson. I believe Brother Johnson will have some thought provoking and interesting things to say. I hope to see you all there.
Also on Sunday July 22nd is a Stake Priesthood Meeting. This will be at 7pm at the Stake Center and is for all Priesthood holders Aaronic and Melchizedek. This is a great opportunity to meet together and hear from our Stake Presidency.
Saturday July 28th – Service Project removing trees from Sister Grove’s yard. They will be cut down we just need to haul the wood off. If you have a truck or trailer and can help please contact Kevin McCarrel or Bishop Burton. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Monday July 30th – Mormon Night at the GJ Rockies baseball game. This is a great way to spend time with the family and represent ourselves to the community. Game starts at 7pm. If you want to go you can buy tickets from Mark Bunnell by txting him at 970-640-2677. Tickets are $6 each. You can also buy tickets at the park on game night at a slightly higher price. Lets go Rockies!!
Friday August 10 – Saturday August 11 – Ward Campout!!! We will be camping at Mud Springs up on Glade Park. You will be on your own for dinner and the Ward will provide breakfast. We will have a short fireside around 9pm. It will be a great opportunity to hang out and chat while the kids run around and get dirty. Everyone is invited so let your wives know, let your neighbors know, your ministering families, and anyone else you want. We hope to see you there even if you don’t stay and camp.
Sunday August 12 - 6pm – There will be a Self-Reliance course starting. Meet at the Stake Center where you can choose from 4 different categories on self-reliance. You will be put into a group and the course runs for 12 weeks. Everyone I have talked to who has done this has loved it. It doesn’t matter where you are in life, young or old, rich or poor, there’s something for everyone. Please prayerfully consider doing this. I know everyone who participates will be blessed.
As always check out the App http://bookcliffeq.blogspot. com/ for updates and new information.
I hope I didn’t miss anything. Stay cool! 😎
