Born in Roy Utah, Scott was one of 8 children. He has one older sister and 6 brothers. The boys were competitive with each other in sports playing basketball and football. A few of his brothers played sports in College and Scott later tried out for the basketball team at Weber State University in Ogden Utah. Scott served a mission in Brisbane Australia. His girlfriend waited for him and after he returned from his mission he and Brenda were married.
Scott attended Dental School at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond Virginia. He remembers some tense times being near Washington DC including the tragic events of 911 and uncertainties related to the "DC Sniper".
Following Dental School the Stoddard returned to the west, first moving to Boise Idaho and later to Grand Junction where Scott has an established dental practice. The Stoddard's have 4 children, 2 sons and 2 daughters. Scott is currently serving as one of our Ward Missionaries. Brenda is a Primary Activities Days Leader and blesses us with her music in numerous ways. Their eldest son Jayden served a mission in California, started school after returning and has now married. The Stoddard's daughter Braedy is currently serving as a missionary in California. Two children Masen and Kaylen are still at home.
Brenda refers to Scott as a big goofball and he is well known for his good nature and sense of humor.
We're grateful to have the Stoddard family in the Bookcliff Ward.
