Brethren
I hope you are having a great week! We are starting into my favorite time of year so I’m super excited. Here is some info for our Quorum…
Getting to know you
First just a heads up I may ask one of you to take a few minutes at the start of our Quorum meeting to introduce yourself and tell us a little about you. Hopefully this will help all of us get to know each other a little better. Things to consider talking about would be…
Childhood – Birth Place – School - Family
Mission – College – Conversion
Family – Kids – Wife – Career
Or anything else you think we might find interesting. This is absolutely not to embarrass anyone so if you’re uncomfortable with it please let me know and I won’t ask you. Also we are going to take notes and post about you on our blogsite. That way if someone is not there they can read about it and feel connected. Stake Baptism Saturday
This Saturday Sept 1st at 5pm we have a couple kids in our ward getting baptized. Diana Hanson daughter of Brian and JQ Hanson and Alexander Berry son of Jackson and Jen Berry. Any support to these families and especially congratulations to the kids would be wonderful!
Ministering discussion
Last week Bro Justin McCoy led a discussion on ministering. He asked some great questions on how and why we minister. He referenced a talk given by Jean B Bingham titled “ Ministering as the Savior does” https://www.lds.org/general- conference/2018/04/ ministering-as-the-savior- does?lang=eng

Please take a few min to read and ponder this talk and think of ways you can minister to those around you. Remember it doesn’t have to be grand or heroic. Anything you do to help or show love to one another is ministering.
Temple and Family History
This Sunday Sept 2nd we will have a council meeting led by Bishop Holt on how we can be more involved in Temple and Family History Work. Please ponder this and come ready to share your ideas and impressions with the class. Participation is extremely encouraged!
Speaking of Temple Work we have an assignment on Saturday Sept 22nd to do endowments at the Temple. We are assigned the 10:15 or 1:00 session ( 10:15 is encouraged ). Please let Bro Dave Hawks know if you will be able to help fulfill this assignment.
Fall Social
Fall Social
Looking out into the future we will have our Fall Social on Wednesday October 10th at 6pm at the Stake Center. More information to come.
As I stated in last weeks email we are working on some EQ activities in the coming months. We will have a schedule out soon with some fun activities and service projects.
Last but not least I want to thank everyone for being helpful and proactive on the ministering interviews. I really really really appreciate your support in these.
Thanks
Sam Taylor
EQ President
